Last Sunday we marched in the annual Pulaski Parade - and we have proof!
Since 1937, the Pulaski Day Parade marches down Fifth Avenue every year on the first Sunday in October to honor Kazimierz Pułaski (a.k.a. Casimir Pulaski), a Polish-American hero and “father of the American cavalry” who saved the life of George Washington at the Battle of Brandywine and died at the Siege of Savannah,
one of only seven individuals in history to have received honorary U.S. citizenship. Numerous Polish diplomats, organizations, dancers, sports teams and their mascots, the Polish Scouts (ZHP), school and student organizations and other representatives of America’s rich Polish heritage march in the parade.

But we like to think of it as a Polish Pride parade - and we snuck into it some Columbia pride, too!
